Apologies for not updating more often but i've remembered the password and login information now so hopefully there will be more updates.

We've been praying for a long time asking God to give us a name for baby that would express His use for him.  We're happy to say God's put this name on our hearts:  Ethan David Lau.

There are 4 Ethans in the Bible.  The most noteworthy is Ethan the Ezrahite, who is the wisest man in Israel second only to Solomon.  He has his own Psalm, Psalm 89.  Another Ethan was a cymbal player.  The other two we don't know hardly anything about.  Ethan means Strong, Firm, Impetuous, Enduring.

We'd initially ruled out "Ethan" in early October, thinking that non-English speaking relatives would be unable to pronounce the "th" in the name and so it would sound like "Efun".  It never occurred to us it'd be a great opportunity to teach them the wonders of the "th" sound in English while also explaining why his name is what it is and how it points to God's plan for us to endure on earth through the strength He gives us.

So there you have it.  I'm not sure how many more updates we'll have before Ethan's born:  the doctor seems to think he'll be here before March, maybe as early as today.  We'll see, I can't wait to meet the little one.
